Sage PFW ERP Interface
The Service and Repair module has a seamless interface to the Inventory module of Sage PFW. The module's primary goal is to provide an automated method of tracking labor and materials used in the service and repair process. Materials used in the process are pulled directly from the Sage PFW inventory files. This seamless and real-time update extends the integrity of your accounting system.
Simplified Data Entry
Entering labor and materials for service and repair jobs is an automated process that has become even easier. Most of the information needed to complete the data entry can be quickly recalled to the screen via the lookups available on many fields in the work order.
Unit Information
The system allows you to categorize selected serialized items as Units. A Unit can be defined as a serialized inventory item which is assembled or manufactured for sale, rental or for service and repair or for which you simply would like to track additional information. If you are in the Manufacturing or Service and Repair business you will need additional information on the inventory items you manufacture or repair. As such, the system provides a separate database table for storing Unit information. This includes: Unit sub-components, Order information, Work Order information, Warranty information and Financial information.
Barcode Technology
Scan your labor time and materials used in a job to increase the accuracy of your data entry. By automating this process, the system empowers the user to concentrate on the service and repair tasks rather than tedious data entry.
Cross Reference with vendor inventory item
If you purchase inventory items from different vendors that have different part numbers for the same inventory item, the system allows you to track these numbers. You can also search for the inventory item using the vendor or customer part number.
Work Order Templates
Templates are standard work orders for the service and repair of inventory units. With this module, you will be able to create an unlimited number of work order templates. These templates may then be customized to meet the specific job requirements.
Processing Bills of Materials
If you are in the manufacturing or service and repair business you probably have standard bills of materials that are used in the manufacture or repair of a particular unit. The module allows users to setup and maintain bills of materials that can later be used on work orders.
Instant Invoice Creation
The module provides a very powerful but user-friendly method of creating an invoice directly from the work order. The invoice is created for you in PFW from which you may do credit memos, cash receipts and other accounts receivable functions.
Insightful Reports
Run a variety of industry-standard reports or create custom reports to uncover the insightful details behind the numbers Get critical information on your work orders, estimates and actual costs as well as the profitability of your operation. All reports are created using Crystal Reports and can be modified by the user.
